The H&K Group Receives Corporate Award From The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy

On Wednesday evening, October 19, 2011, The H&K Group was presented with the Environmental Corporate Award by the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy (PWC), at the conservancy’s Annual Environmental Awards Banquet held at the Indian Valley Country Club in Telford, PA.

This award recognized The H&K Group for being a substantial contributor to the PWC for several years in supporting their important mission and strategic efforts towards environmental education programs and other outreach efforts, by committing their time, efforts and personal resources. James T. Haines, Chief Operating Officer of The H&K Group, was proud to accept this award from the PWC’s Executive Director, Crystal Gilchrist. Business leaders, members of local government, neighbors and friends were all present in honoring the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s Environmental Award recipients.

The H&K Group is one of the Mid-Atlantic Region’s largest construction materials and full-service site contracting companies, and has incorporated into its own mission to reuse and recycle construction materials to minimize land fill disposals. With extensive knowledge in the environmental field, The H&K Group has been an efficient partner with PWC in achieving their Annual Stream Clean-up goals, including recycling tires retrieved from the creek, as well as providing vehicles for waste removal. The H&K Group has also provided gravel for the PWC’s Brownstone Barn parking area, emergency snow plowing and assistance with their garage reconfiguration. In addition, support from The H&K Group’s Public Relations and Marketing Department has played an instrumental role in the PWC’s outreach efforts to area educators and members, by printing all promotional and informative materials supporting PWC’s framework for their “Educate & Inspire” goal.
