H&K Group, Inc. Hosts Successful 12th Annual Charity Golf Open

On September 15, 2018, H&K Group, Inc. (H&K) held its 12th Annual Charity Golf Open at Lederach Golf Club in Harleysville, PA, with proceeds benefiting The Hallman-Haines Foundation For Autism & Spina Bifida (HHFASB).

H&K, headquartered in Skippack, PA, hosted this annual event which brought together employees, as well as friends, family, valued vendors, customers and clients, for a fun day of golf and camaraderie. Held once again in the spirit of charity and giving back, the day’s festivities were enjoyed by all, with proceeds directly benefitting HHFASB for 2018.  This year’s outing was a phenomenal success, hosting 170 total participants and raising $34,000 thanks to an incredible response from event sponsors, participating employees, friends and family, long-time business partners, and many local businesses who offered in-kind donations.

Held annually each September since 2007, H&K’s Charity Golf Open event and fundraiser has hosted nearly 2,000 golfers through the years and raised in excess of $167,000 for local charities.

With 2018 marking 50years of continuous business operations for H&K, HHFASB was specifically selected as the Charity Golf Open beneficiary because of its direct and unique connection the H&K.  HHFASB is a non-profit founded by H&K’s Chief Operating Officer, James T. “Jim” Haines and wife Pam, whose son was diagnosed with autism, and current Chief Executive Officer, Scott B. Haines’ daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Jake Hallman, whose son was diagnosed with Spina Bifida.  Jim, Pam, Tara and Jake joined forces in 2011 to create HHFASB as a way to give back to the local community by providing grants to families and individuals with spina bifida and/or autism.
