Skippack, PA – In response to the strong backlog of secured contract work held by H&K Group, Inc. (H&K), spanning both the heavy civil contracting and construction materials segments of their business platform, H&K held a remarkably successful, multi-divisional Job Fair on Saturday, September 12th, 2020. Hosting this Job Fair was Landis C. Deck & Sons Site Contractors, which is located in Bernville, PA and has been a proud H&K Group, Inc. company since 1998.
Interest was high from the start, with 16 of 21 applicants completing online preregistration to ensure themselves an opportunity to be considered. In-depth interviews were conducted by hiring managers in order to fill numerous full-time positions in both the trades and skilled/technical employment levels. In attendance to conduct same-day interviews were managers from many of H&K’s heavy civil contracting, construction materials and materials/freight transport affiliates. Executive Management was also in attendance to greet prospective candidates and to guide individuals to H&K’s various on-site skills testing areas and interview locations, answer questions and experience the comprehensive success of the hiring event firsthand. H&K was very encouraged by the excellent attendance for this Job Fair. With safety always being H&K’s first priority, all necessary considerations for events and gatherings set forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with regards to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) were enforced and taken into account.
H&K Group, Inc. is very pleased to announce that of the 21 applicants who attended the September 12th Job Fair, hiring managers from three different H&K locations filled eight key positions, an exceptional hiring rate of nearly 40 percent. Critical positions were filled with proficient candidates in the following areas: operators, drivers and general laborers.
