Skippack, PA - On Monday afternoon, May 21, 2018, members of the Mayall Family joined The H&K Group’s (H&K’s) Chief Operating Officer, James T. “Jim” Haines and leadership from Hilltown Township, Bucks County, PA, to formally dedicate Mayall Field, named for renowned and respected former H&K employee, Kenneth E. “Kenny” Mayall.
The group gathered to honor Kenny Mayall who passed in 2016 and is remembered as a principal figure of H&K’s Materials Division. Kenny began his stellar career at H&K Materials quarry that now lies immediately adjacent to Mayall Field. Kenny retired from the company in 2006 after a remarkable 34 year career. His legacy, as defined by his peers’, details his extremely hard-working and dedicated work ethic. Commenting on Kenny and the sign dedication ceremony, Jim Haines, H&K’s Chief Operating Officer stated, “It is a true honor to remember Kenny Mayall in this way as we and the entire Hilltown community look upon, utilize and enjoy the permanent recreation space on a daily basis. Thank you, Kenny for your extraordinary service and efforts as a coveted member of the H&K family.”
Kenny Mayall is considered a Founding Father of H&K and was a catalyst for the historic success of the company. Kenny spent his impressive career with H&K assisting the growth, maintenance and development of the corporation’s crushed stone and asphalt operations. H&K and Partnership Company, Naceville Materials, JV, are honored to dedicate this 9.5 acre recreational field in Kenny Mayall’s name and are proud to have partnered with Hilltown Township to make this facility a reality for the entire community to adopt and appreciate. It is also fitting that this dedication (for Mayall Field) occurs in 2018, which aligns with H&K’s 50 Anniversary year of continuous business operations.
