ACCIDENT OCCURS AT HAINES & KIBBLEHOUSE  INC. S CORPORATE FACILITY
Skippack, PA – An equipment maintenance-related accident occurred at Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc.’s (H&K, Inc.’s) corporate office complex in Skippack, PA. One H&K, Inc. employee was injured in this accident.
Today, at approximately 11:30 AM, a male employee was injured in a flash fire while performing maintenance on a milling machine. Skippack Township firefighters and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene within minutes, stabilized the condition of the injured employee, and subsequently transported him to Lehigh Valley Hospital by medevac helicopter.
Details on the current medical condition of the injured employee and cause of this flash fire are not available at this time. The company is able to report that no facility or associated damage occurred as a result of this incident.
The industrial-type accident is currently under investigation by both H&K, Inc.’s internal Safety and Risk Management Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration or OSHA.
