Dagsboro Stone Depot (formerly Dagsboro Materials) is one of the Delmarva Peninsula’s largest construction aggregate distribution or depot facilities. Opened in 2004, our
Dagsboro Stone Depot is a state-of-the-art rail freight aggregate unloading and distribution facility that carries a full line of competitively priced construction aggregate products.
Working in partnership with our affiliate,
Birdsboro Quarry, in Berks County, PA, we import all of our high-quality aggregate products from this location via rail freight delivery. From our strategic location in Dagsboro, DE, we have the ability to service customers throughout southern Delaware and eastern Maryland. We also offer delivery service for our full line of aggregates throughout the region.
OUR AGGREGATE:
As Dagsboro Stone Depot imports all of its crushed stone products from affiliate, Birdsboro Quarry, all of our products are derived from intrusive igneous rock commonly referred to as Diabase. This extremely hard, crystalline rock is crushed to produce high grade construction aggregate of varying sizes and specifications that are suitable for use in hot-mix asphalt, ready-mix concrete, drainage applications and general construction, including railroad bedding. Many of our construction aggregate products maintain certifications by the Delaware and Maryland Departments of Transportation (DelDOT and MDOT).
