Birdsboro Materials Quarry to host 2nd annual Quarry Day event On Saturday, October 14, 2006, Birdsboro Materials will be hosting its 2 nd Annual ‘Quarry Day’
event at their Birdsboro, PA facility. Labeled as a “community outreach event” for this
operation, Birdsboro Materials Quarry will be opening its doors to the local residents of
Birdsboro Borough, Union and Robeson Townships, and other surrounding communities.
Company officials hope this event will give local residents the opportunity to tour their Quarry
and Rail Load Out facilities, talk to quarry personnel and owners, discuss comments and
concerns directly with company officials, as well as share in a relaxed setting of discussion,
community fun, and outreach. Catered continentalstyle
food and beverage will be served.

This event will occur on Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. ‘Quarry
Day’ will be held at the Birdsboro Materials Quarry facility, which is situated at 1267 Hay Creek
Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Access to Birdsboro Materials may be gained via State Route 82
(Hay Creek Road), just south of The Borough of Birdsboro. Attendants will direct guests to
designated parking areas along Birdsboro Materials’ main access road. A shuttle service will
transport guests from parking areas to a reception area, where food and beverages will be served
and guests will be asked to register. Once in the facility, guests may be shuttled to various
stations within the Quarry where they will observe actual Plant Operations. Quarry personnel
will be on hand to discuss operations and to answer additional questions, as necessary. All
guests will receive free promotional items and raffle tickets for the ‘Second Annual Quarry Day
Raffle’. Guests will be asked to complete a Community Relations Survey, which the company
hopes will allow continued input from the community into daily operations of Birdsboro
Materials.
