Wilkes-Barre Materials joined H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) construction materials family in 2005. Established through a partnership between H&K and American Asphalt Paving Co., Wilkes-Barre Materials provides high quality construction materials products including construction aggregate and asphalt materials to the east and central Luzerne County areas. With easy access from the PA Turnpike (Northeast Extension, Rt. 476), as well as Routes 81 and 309, Wilkes-Barre Materials is the smart construction materials choice for the region.
OUR AGGREGATE:
The quarried crystalline sandstones at Wilkes-Barre Materials yield an exceptionally durable construction aggregate product. All products are suitable for use in hot-mix asphalt, ready-mix concrete, drainage applications and general use. Our products also maintain various certifications by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC).
OUR ASPHALT:
Utilizing our own exceptional grade sandstone, Wilkes-Barre Materials asphalt mixes include the standard Marshall Mix and SUPERPAVE designs that are PennDOT and PTC approved. Further, our exceptional staff, plant layout, four (4)-ton batch plant, coupled with three (3) 300-ton silos, all add up to provide the high level of service and quality our customers have come to expect.
