Pottsville, PA – Pottsville Materials announces the official opening of their brand new asphalt plant at the company’s Darkwater Road quarry facility. Start up of this state-of-the-art asphalt plant at Pottsville Materials brings the highly prized addition of both hot and warm-mix asphalt products to the existing array of construction aggregate products offered at this facility.
Installed over a six-month period, Pottsville Materials’ new Astec plant features three (3) 300 Ton storage silos, and is capable of delivering all of the latest mix designs including Superpave and both hot and warm-mix asphalt at operating rates as high as 400 Ton Per Hour. Further, the plant is equipped with the latest recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) feed technology that will enable the plant to produce mix designs with higher RAP content, further boasting the "green appeal" of this high efficiency, "environmentally friendly" plant.
Pottsville Materials offers a full line of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) approved construction aggregate materials and their professional sales and support staff is available to discuss account options, quote a materials purchase, or schedule pick up or delivery of any Pottsville Materials product. Pottsville Materials also stocks a large inventory of top grade, screened topsoil that is available for both individual sale and bulk order.
